THE JSO CONCERT SERIES | VANCOUVER, BC

2019: “Japan” | Custom graphics included a whimsical design of an origami Godzilla flying a kite. Table-top market stands complete with noren extended the Japanese theme to the concessions area, while hand-painted kites and koinobori floated above the stage.

2018: “The Great British Concert” | Limited edition concert t-shirts included a “bow in the stone” and Welsh dragon motif. Suspended above the stage was a handmade (and working) five foot by five foot Big Ben clock face with intricate, gold wire detailing.

2017: “United Strings of America” | The custom-designed graphic merged the strings of a violin with the stripes of the American flag.

2016: “Water” | Handmade stage props included jellyfish made out of umbrellas, a sailboat crafted from an old cello, and Goldfish-cracker fish!

2015: “Kings, Queens and Dragons” | The showpiece for this event was a 12-foot dragon hung above the stage constructed out of an old cello and plastic cups!
